The Super Shapes Game!

Shapes are all around us and so we decided to do a Shape-Matching Bingo game with our little ones. Choosing a different shape card each, they had turns finding a match from the many shapes on the table. During the game, we had conversations about the different shapes on our cards, how many edges they had and the different colours they were made of.

We even took some time looking around our outdoor play space to find any shapes we could see in our surroundings. This resource is easy to make and can have many variations. It is an opportunity for our little ones to strengthen their knowledge around shapes and spend time engaging in a matching learning experience. When they found a correct match, it was so evident how pleased they were, and we made sure to positively praise them to boost their self-esteem. 😊
