Oh Look…Giant Bubbles!
It is no secret that our little ones absolutely love bubbles, so we decided to take bubbles to the next level – making our own giant bubbles!! One of our lovely kaiako had a mixture in mind and using our big blue water trough outside, we decided to get filling. Buckets of water along with dishwashing liquid soon began to mix and bubble together and our little ones couldn’t have been more excited. 😍😍
With such a big pool of bubbly water waiting, we got a hula hoop from our shed and placed it flat into the trough – holding both sides carefully. After letting it soak for a few seconds, we carefully and evenly lifted the hula hoop up and voila! it looked like one of our little ones was inside a bubble! 😊👏
Everyone was eager for a turn and used their patience muscles 😊 as they got closer to having it. Some attempts were not successful straight away but it was great to see such perseverance and determination. A lot of learning happened throughout the process as our little ones discovered that as they moved the hoop, the bubble would twist and change shape too. 😊
Exploring and experimenting with different liquids and quantities is a great way for our tamariki to develop and grow their curiosity and sense of wonder. Our world is filled with amazing and unique things waiting to be discovered and we want to create a learning environment that fosters these dispositions and supports them to grow. 💕😊🙌
