It's Valentine's Day at Buckle My Shoe!

Love is in the air...

In preparation for Valentine’s Day, we asked our little ones about the people in their life whom they love. “I love my brother”, one child answered while another one said, “I love my papa”. We also spoke about the importance of kindness and love for others and what this looks like in our everyday routines. 💖

We decided it would be a nice idea to make some little gifts to show our love and appreciation for these special people. Sweet treats go straight to the heart and so we thought of baking some special Valentine’s Day heart cookies. 🍪🍪🍪

Our tamariki love baking and are familiar with the process of prepping clean hands to measure and mix all the ingredients together. It wasn’t long before the centre was filled with the delicious aroma of cookies and after they cooled down, we spent time decorating them with the final touch – sprinkles. To accompany these delicious treats, our little ones expressed their love through the arts and painted a special heart. 😊😊😍
