Superhero Day at Buckle My Shoe!

Recently, there has been a lot of pretend play involving superheroes at Buckle My Shoe and so we decided to have a superhero dress up day at the centre! Our little ones couldn’t stop talking about this and began sharing their ideas of which superhero they wanted to come dressed as. When the day finally arrived it was amazing to see all the effort our whanau and tamariki had gone to - it was like Buckle My Shoe had become a centre of learning for the world’s superheroes! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️😊

Our outdoor environment transformed into a superhero’s paradise and every direction that you looked in, there were superheroes showing their amazing physical strength and ability. 😍

Throughout the day we had discussions about different superheroes, the good things they do and the different superpowers and abilities they have. We also mentioned that even without a costume we could be superheroes at Buckle My Shoe, with supersonic listening ears and walking feet inside. We didn’t forget to think about the every day superheroes in the community such as our policemen, fire-fighters and the amazing people that work in the nearby hospital! 💖

We had such a great superhero dress up day and would love to extend on this by inviting some community superheroes to Buckle My Shoe to share the amazing things they do on a daily basis! 😊
